The government creative agency

Learning in the flow of work

We helped one of the largest and most diverse government departments to communicate workplace policies with clarity, consistency and character.

The challenge

The Home Office needed a suite of 26 animated videos providing important workplace guidance to staff across all levels. Covering a wide range of topics – from annual leave and attendance management to discipline and probation – the content had to be accessible, engaging and easy to understand. With time-poor viewers in mind, the animations also needed to maintain a consistent tone and visual identity for easy recognition, while reflecting the diversity of one of the government’s largest departments.

Our solution

We collaborated with policy teams to distil complex guidance into clear, digestible scripts. Our creative team developed a cast of characters to represent the Home Office’s diverse workforce. The animation style was hand-rendered, using organic textures, a monochromatic palette, and subtle colour accents to add warmth. Each character was thoughtfully designed to feel soft, human and relatable – ensuring the visuals supported key messages and helped these important topics resonate clearly with viewers.
